UpAgain English waitlist: privacy notice
The English version of UpAgain isn't open yet. If you join this waitlist, we may email you an invitation when it opens where you live. We can't promise an invitation or a launch date, and timing may differ from country to country. This page explains what we collect, why, who receives it, and when we delete it.
Who can join: adults 18 and older who live in the United States, Australia, Singapore or South Korea.
Not available yet: Canada, New Zealand, the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, India and other countries.
UpAgain isn't a crisis service. If you're in danger or thinking about hurting yourself, call your local emergency number or find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
1. Who we are
- Responsible for your information: JIG (a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Korea)
- Privacy contact: JIG Customer Support, jigco1109@gmail.com
2. Why we collect it
- To email you an invitation if the English version of UpAgain opens where you live, and at most one reminder about it (no reminder if you live in South Korea)
- If you live in South Korea, to email you once within 14 days after you join, to confirm you're on the list.
- To count, in totals only, people's countries, age ranges and where they first saw UpAgain, so we can plan where to open
That's all. We don't send newsletters or ads. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
If you live in the United States, Australia or Singapore, we don't send a confirmation email. The last screen of the form is your confirmation.
3. What we collect
- Required: your age range, the country you live in, your answers to the 3 consent questions, and your email address
- Optional: where you first saw UpAgain
- The form doesn't ask for: your name, your phone number, health information, or anything in your own words
- If you email or message us: your email address or account name, and what you write
- If the form ends early (you're under 18, you live somewhere we can't accept yet, or you don't agree): we never ask for your email. Your answers only reach us if you use the button at the end. If you do, we count them and delete them within 1 week.
4. How long we keep it
- Until 30 days after we send your invitation, or until 31 December 2027, whichever comes first. Then we delete it.
- If the English version hasn't opened where you live by 31 December 2027, we delete your information on that date.
- If you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you, we delete your information within 10 days.
- If you email or message us, we delete your message within 45 days after we've dealt with it. If you ask us to remove you, we delete it within 10 days.
- If you accept an invitation, the app has its own privacy notice. We'll show it to you in English and ask for your consent before we create an app account for you.
How we delete: we remove your answers from the Google Form, permanently delete related emails from Gmail, including Trash, and delete any copy on our own computer. Google then clears them from its systems. That usually takes about 2 months, and up to 6 months for backups.
5. Who receives it and transfers outside Korea
JIG is based in Korea. We use the services below to run the waitlist, so your information goes to these companies in the USA and other countries.

How well it's protected: these companies protect your information with encryption and their own security and privacy policies. But privacy laws in the USA may not protect you to the same standard as the laws where you live. While your information is in another country, that country's courts, police or national security agencies may be able to get it.
If you don't want your information sent outside Korea, please don't join. There's no way to join without it, because we can't receive your answers or email you without these companies.
6. Your choices
The form asks for 3 consents, one at a time: (1) collecting and using your information, (2) sending it outside Korea, and (3) emailing you. You don't have to agree. But the waitlist can't work without all three, so if you say no to any of them, the form ends and we don't get your email. You can skip the question marked (optional). You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7).
7. Your rights and how to unsubscribe
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or ask us to stop using it. You can withdraw your consent at any time. It's as easy as joining.
- Email jigco1109@gmail.com. We'll do it and reply within 10 days.
- To stop our emails, reply "unsubscribe" to any email from us, or send that word to the address above. We'll stop within 5 business days and delete your information within 10 days.
- If you're not happy with how we handle your information, you can contact Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission (pipc.go.kr/eng), its Privacy Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr), or the privacy regulator where you live.
8. How we protect it
- Only JIG can see the waitlist answers.
- If we make a list to send emails, it stays in our Gmail or on our own computer, not in any other online storage. We delete it on the schedule in section 4.
- When we email several people at once, we use Bcc, so no one can see anyone else's address.
- We work in Korean, so we use Claude, an AI tool from Anthropic, to read and answer messages in English. Before we paste in a message, we remove your email address and name.
- We don't give AI tools the waitlist, your email address or your individual form answers. From the waitlist, they only get totals.
- This site and the form have no ads, no analytics and no tracking pixels from us. We don't track you across websites, so "Do Not Track" browser signals don't change anything here. Google may collect information about your device and how you use Google Forms, under Google's privacy policy.
9. Who can join
- Age: the waitlist is only for people 18 and older. The first question asks your age range. If you're under 18, the form ends before it asks for your email. If we learn that someone under 18 joined, we delete their information.
- Where you live: the United States, Australia, Singapore or South Korea. If you live anywhere else, the form ends before it asks for your email. If we open in more places, we'll post it on Instagram at @upagain.app.
10. Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the effective date at the top and list what changed below. If a change affects what we collect, why we use it, or who receives it, we'll email you and ask for your consent again before it applies to you.
Version history: 2 November 2026, first version.
